Per call vs per minute

Smith.ai bills by the call and Ruby by the minute. Long intake calls, which are common in PI and workers' comp, tend to favor per-call pricing. Short "is my attorney in?" calls tend to favor per-minute pricing. Pull a month of call logs before choosing.

When an outsourced receptionist isn't enough

Answering services take messages and run scripted intake. If you need someone who also follows up with medical providers, chases documents and updates your case management system in Spanish and English, that is a dedicated staff role, not an answering service.
