EOR vs contractor: the real decision

An EOR legally employs the worker in their country, handling local payroll, benefits and compliance. Published EOR prices start around $599 per employee per month at Deel and Remote. Contractor tools are far cheaper ($29–$49/month), but the classification risk stays with you unless you buy a product that covers it. Classification rules vary by country, so get local advice.

The all-in option: a staffing partner

Software only handles contracts and payroll. You still have to recruit, train, supervise and replace people. A nearshore staffing partner handles all of that for one monthly rate. That is the service we run ourselves (see below). Compare the total cost: EOR fee + salary + your management time vs. one staffing rate.

FAQ

Is an EOR required to hire in Guatemala or Mexico?

Not always. You can contract, use an EOR, open an entity or use a staffing provider. Each carries different legal obligations, so get local legal and tax advice.
